I need to ask my uncle about getting it on my deck omg. This game is one I replay every few years. I've 100%ed it a few times and found sone funky stuff. Kid me could never do the romance sude quest cause I didn't know where the bandit cave was so in the end of the game the couple isn't in faerie land to thank you with the others. You can screw around in the hidden tower tho. Meerca speed potions are fairly farmable too. In Act 2 you can farm nps pretty easily so long as you collected clovers and even buy Roberta's hidden tower upgrades. For combat most enemies can be stun locked or statused pretty easily. The only one that I remember being annoying af to fight were drakonaks cause how they'd frame 1 hit ya. I didn't see it covered in the vid but the charge attacks with motes had some pretty good effects on the enemies. Freezing was probably my favorite go to. I've been thinking more and more of playing this darn game again. Probably high key one of my favorite games ever amd it has no right to be either 😂

In case you never found out, I think you can skip the magic carpet by... jumping. You can jump off them to end the ride early.

I actually really loved Signalis and Tinykin, but to rate those overall experiences as better than Elden Ring is WILD to me. I mean just exploring Elden Rings world aside from everything else is so profound and mysterious that it blows most "gaming experiences" out of the water. The highs of that game and the constant sense of mystery and discovery far, far outweigh a 10/10 platformer or a 10/10 survival horror but I guess I'm more sensitive to that stuff.

The dialogue in the Negatron game makes the game look like it's a game made by a foreign fan of Jimmy Neutron who can't speak English very well. I'm very surprised it's a Jimmy Neutron game that was officially licenced by Nickelodeon due to the broken dialogue.

to begging with, it has music in their levels.. MASSIVE IMPROVEMENT over all the other souls games... seriously is really that much to ask to add any kind of level music on their games?? ah yeah.. SWITCH version.. almost unplayable if youre picky to the graphics.. they tend to pixelate a lot on intense fights and sometimes it just plain crash.. sadge

Im fine with limited inventory slots but this game has just so many key items that instead of fun it becomes a pita. The puzzles are really old style most of them dont even make sense ao you either have played other games in the same style or youre screwed or youll have to spend hours to figure them out

I was stuck for the longest time on the arcade machine boss.... and i could not for the life of me get near half health. ... pulled out gun for this on boss and yeah, loving the rest of the game haha. The music is just so good and loving the shells and their different ways of gameplay.

I had a problem with the busker bonus mini game at the end of the level too but I figured out that you're supposed to use the right stick but it's awkward that the game doesn't convey it. The spin move is also super useful since you can maintain your combo if you time it right when landing on ground.

Fun fact about the slide and those 180 high jump backflips. If you hold back and jump right as you hit the ground from the slide jump, you'll do this Ultra backflip LAUNCHING yourself into the air. Hard to get a hang of, but once you do, its the most broken tech in the game with the areas you can get to that your not supposed to get to.

You can tell when to start pressing the d-pad on the Olympic challenge by using the music beat as an indicator signal. It always starts at the same time in sync with the music.

Nice review dude! I agree with every point. My 2 greatest complaints are the movement controls and the lifeless characters. I also appreciate the running mechanic! However, controlling the direction can still have a mind of it's own sometimes. XD Like you said about the characters, it seems like they wanted everyone to be *beautiful* or something, so it's just ends up being not scary at all. Like even the first Fatal Frame is STILL way scarier. XD

I've asked a few times already, but still, NITRO RAD! Given your love for Little Nightmares 1 & 2, I was wondering if/when you might get around to playing/reviewing Bramble: The Mountain King & Gylt? Both games bare a lot of similarities to Little Nightmares, while still being different and unique in their own ways. I hope you decide to play and review these games at some point, Bramble: The Mountain King & Gylt are such great games that I feel deserves more love and attention given to them.

Speak for yourself, I find the Sonic Heroes levels super memorable. ...May or may not have to do with Heroes being my first Sonic game, but I still think those levels have their merits. Also, glad you're talking Penny's Big Breakaway. It's a bit sad it hasn't gotten as much love as I feel it's earned, so thanks for throwing some attention this game's way. Surprised you were so mid on the last few levels/boss though. I thought they were really fun. Well maybe I'm just a sucker for when a final challenge bring a whole lot of stuff back to test you on all of them.

Really beautiful game, and imo the best survival horror since Darkwood, and now one of my all-time favs as well. I kinda wish they kept their inspirations a bit less obvious, but I'd lie if I said they detract from the experience.
